Fleur du Mâle (Flower of the Male) was inspired by the title of Baudelaire’s collection of poems — Les fleurs du mal (The Flowers of Evil). Launched 2007, it made for assertive men who exude confidence. The primary note is African orange blossom, an aromatic flower from the bitter orange tree originally grown in eastern Africa, India and the Himalayas and masterfully paired with its sweet cousin bergamot. The citrus aromas are complemented by the fresh, peppery scent of basil and the sharpness of caraway. The sweet spiciness of this cologne is light and cheerful, and the fragrance is best worn in the daytime during spring. It is long lasting with heavy sillage.
